We are always happy to advise on restoration whether it's a small job than can be done on site or a biiger problem which involves a complete rebuild. More often than not unless it's a significant window with special glass or painting the cost of restoring can equal the price of remaking a window to replicate the damaged one. Either way we have a lot of experience in restoration and can replicate virtually any style of window. In the example below we rebuilt the badly damaged window, saving much of the old glass, to make one identical to the original
Sometimes windows begin to leak or sag after being in place for many decades. This was the case with the large main window at Perth Crematorium. (left)
We very carefully removed it and then replaced every cracked pane and gradually rebuilt the window saving the glass but replacing all the old lead to give the window another 100 years of life.
Please contact us if you have a problem with your window and we will be very happy to advise you on the best way to restore it for you.
