We were asked by the church to design a window based on an idea of a golden eagle and Ben Nevis . The musical notes and fiddle sybolise 'The Cameron Highlanders' which was Charles' favourite tune on 'Desert Island Discs', and one which his father used to play on the fiddle in the same church. His parents, Ian and Mary provided the music for the vigil mass for more than 40 years. Bulrushes and violets have been added to symbolise Charles' modest character.
Charles Kennedy’s parish priest Father Roddy McAuley said: “Charles was a very quiet and humble man, who always sat at the back of the church – he was one of our backbenchers.
